ACF Toolkit Inclusion
The Administration for Children and Families selected the In-Home Learning System as one of fifty programs for inclusion in its toolkit for TANF stakeholders. The Business Access In-Home System is on the Work Attachment section as a Work Readiness Activity for core and non-core participation. The ACF Toolkit is a collection of resources, templates, examples, and instruments that may assist TANF administrators in achieving the goal of supporting families on the path towards self-sufficiency. One of the Top Career Exploration Tools
In January 2010, the Department of Labor challenged all employment tool providers to open share their wares to job seekers, workforce professionals and DOL evaluators. Business Access’ Virtual Learning Community (GreatJob!) was selected as one of the top ten Career Exploration tools available in the United States.
Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL 17-07)
In January 2008, the Department of Labor sent out the TEGL 17-07 that encouraged the use of technology-based learning in order to increase access to learning opportunities for workforce investment customers. BA's New Jersey program is mentioned on Page 9.
DOL Training and Employment Notice (TEN)
In August, 2010, the Department of Labor sent out the Training and Employment Notice (TEN) that provides a framework for standardizing the collection and reporting of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) self-service only participant information.
US DOL Secretary Solis, states Business Access a flexible workplace in DFW
In October 2010, US Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis wrote a short article for the Dallas Morning News. In this article she mentions Business Access as a flexible workplace in DFW.
VP Joe Biden's: 100 Top Recovery Act projects changing America
In September 2010, Vice President Joe Biden released a report titled "100 Recovery Act Projects That Are Changing America." All across the United States, these projects are having a significant positive impact upon local communities. Business Access has partnered with The WorkPlace Inc., and YouthBuild in Connecticut to support one of these projects.
