We maximize the impact of social services. Our online communities use socialization, personal planning and distance learning to move people from dependence to self-sufficiency. Our in-home programs provide computers and Internet access along with personal mentors to extend the reach of programs into individuals' everyday lives. Our administrative systems use technology to reduce duplication, create collaboration among partnering organizations, and automatically track services and outcomes.
Behind the technology is Business Access' staff supporting the mission of the programs. We provide technical support, both reactively (as issues arise) and proactively (when monitoring shows decreased participation). We provide training and support to program staff. When needed, we also provide mentoring to help participants stay focused on their goals.
None of our programs is exactly the same. We work with local organizations to determine the best fit for their program goals. Some use everything we've got - online communities with our content and community management, home computers/Internet access, and administrative systems - some use just one element, such as our distance learning courses.
We're your tech partner. We help design the right program, get it implemented, follow along as it progresses and make adjustments as needed.

In eleven years of implementing technology-based programs for hard-to-serve populations, Business Access has learned many lessons.
Our online communities are enhanced by our online training catalogue, database of over 5,000 articles and thousands of links focused on self-improvement. We understand what it takes to help people hold to a personal development plan. We know the importance of socialization and what it takes to generate social networking activity. We've seen the value of providing access to quality training and how critical it is to present it in a way that builds confidence, rather than create frustration.
When we put computers and Internet access into people's homes, we're monitoring where the computer is, what's happening on it and what's happening online, all of which can be reported in formats that match program needs. We actively filter gambling and pornography with continuous updates (not just by keywords). We can access our computers remotely, force actions and even disable them. Our programs are designed for participants to earn ownership of the computers upon the completion of the goals - something repeatedly proven to be an impactful motivator.
Business Access' administrative systems are about creating less work for program staff - not more. Automatic notifications flow between program partners to keep all systems updated. Workflow systems ensure that participants don't fall through the cracks or get stuck at one level of service. Family tracking allows for a view beyond that of the individual as well as for reporting combined program activity (i.e. TANF). Our admin systems are NOT giant software behemoths that take years to build and months to implement, they are sleek, small systems focused specifically on your tasks at hand.
